About Detail

A collection of interface details

Detail collects the extra considerations, the cares, the One More Thing that separates software that works from software that feels right.

Detail honor craftsmanship and believe details are the product.

Detail starts from 2025 by Rene Wang, a design engineer who previously worked on Lark and TikTok at ByteDance, then LobeHub.

Why Now

AI can generate a functional interface in seconds. The barrier to creating something that works has never been lower. But there's a difference between something that works and something that feels right. That difference lives entirely in the details.

Did you see the difference?

AI can't feel when a button's resistance is just right. Humans can.

In a world of scarcity, we treasure tools.

In a world of abundance, we treasure taste.

— Anu Atluru, Taste is Eating Silicon Valley

As more of the world becomes automated, the people who understand these details are the ones who'll build products people actually love.

Curation

Not every detail makes it here. If removing a detail breaks the product, it's not a detail, it's a necessity. A detail is a consideration nobody had to make, chosen anyway because it makes things better.
